Start your writing here: ‘’Hey have you been on a school picnic before?Well,last week on a foggy Friday Point England school went down to the reserve to have a amazing fun Picnic.When we started walking down to the beach I heard quite a lot of laughter and excitement.We had a school Picnic because so the whole school can hang out together.

My favourite part of the Picnic was when I helped Mrs Thomson win a sandcastle compression.But sadly they didn’t win,but I enjoyed helping them.

My least favourite part was when I got a lot of lay on my hands and then I rubbed it on my t-shirt.

I hope of next year that more helpers will come next year and many children will come to the next Picnic.

Hokulea and Hikianlia Powhiri Waka

Guess what on the 25th of March all of the Manaiakalani schools went down to Point England reserve to welcome the waka of the Hokulea and Hikianalia Powhiri to the shores.When we got there we had to sit down on the wet grass and we were supposed to sing the song that welcomes the people to the shores.When the people landed on the shore we started to sing the song that welcome them the song was called E honore.When we finished singing the song we sang another song that is called Nga Waka a.We it finished I felt really happy that we welcomed the waka to the shores

I learned today to help people who needs help to clean their gardens.I also learned to call the volunteer army if someone needs them.

Year 5 and 6's camp

Have you been on a school camp before? Well,last week on Wednesday all the year 5 and 6’s classroom’s had a year 5 and 6 camp,and guess what we were separated into 6 teams and my team was called The Real Dealz.The activity that I enjoyed on the first day of camp was Kayaking with Mr Burt.  We kayaked down at Point England beach. Before we could get into our kayaks Mr Burt reminded as to do ‘’Foot bum Foot’’.We needed to do ‘’Foot bum Foot’’ because that is how we get into Kayaks without falling over.When we finished Kayaking I felt really happy because it was my first time kayaking.

The other activity that I enjoyed was the camp concert on Thursday night. I really loved the other’s team’s dance. The dance that I enjoyed was The honest squad's dance ‘’Kung Fu fighting.I really liked the honest squad's item because it look fun to do Kung Fu fighting.The group that I was in was The Real Dealz and my item was called ‘’Don’t worry child’’.When the camp concert finished I really felt happy because I really enjoyed everyone's item.

On the last day of camp we went to Mangere Pools to celebrate the last day of camp.When I jumped into the freezing water the first thing that I did was going to the volcano the volcano was like a bath that must have three or four people in it.

When camp started I felt really excited and happy that we have camp this year.The thing that enjoyed about camp mostly was sleeping in my tent with my friends Gwynn and Kura.I hope for next time on camp is doing something different.

Honesty

Today I learned that you must be honest to everybody and they will tell you the truth.I also learned that if people ask you if you taken there money then you have to tell them that you taken it

Annie's brother Sam loved to play Football that's why he play's for the Green Dragons in a Football game.Annie wanted to play Football like his brother but she was too little and younger than everybody.Annie stood next to she Dad on the sideline of the Football field,and when the Green dragons run to the try line Annie beside at the sideline.

1 day until camp

WALT: think ahead about camp and share what you are looking forward to.

“Guess what camp starts tomorrow!” And I am looking forward going swimming at Mangere pools with my friends and learning more how to swim faster.

I am also looking forward doing cooking with my friends and cooking delicious food and tasting it.

But the thing that I really excited for is playing sports with my best friends and learn how to skate.

Have you seen Omaru creek?  Well,last week on Thursday some of  the school’s around G.I gathered at the  Omaru creek in Glen Innes for a special show.We have to look after Omaru creek and find a solution to keep it clean.We went there because there was lot’s of rubbish that was making the creek sinking and dirty.

On Tuesday my maths class went for a walk around Omaru creek.We learned that it use to be clean and beautiful but it is full of rubbish.
