Today the I learned something from Haiku poem.One thing that I leanred about haiku poems is that 3you have to guess what I wrote,and I have putted some clues on it to help you guess what I wrote about.

Limerick Poem

There once was a girl called Emily(9)

Who had a room that was smelly(8)

And she always smelled bad(6)

And that she was so glad(6)

Then she had a sandwich with Jelly(9)

Today I wrote a Limrick poem the first,second and fifth line must Rhyme,and the third and forth line must rhyme too,and it all needs the same syllables like 8 or 9 and 5 or 6.

My Practice activity

Today I learned a new way to solve a word problem:

64 divided by 4=16

I split the 64 into 40 and 24,then I did 40 divided by 4=10 then 24 divided by 4=6 because 4x6=24,then I add it together and it made 16.

Food Chain

 Today we are learning about Food Chains.One fact that I know is that it goes threw plants then to animals then it goes to a animals that eat other animals.

Word Problems

Today the Exponents learned a new strategy: 
57 divided by 3=19
 I split the 57 into 30 and 27 then I did 30 divided by 3=10 then I did 27 divided by 3=9 then I add it together and it made 19.

Acrostic poems

Today I learned about Acrostic poems.One thing that I know about Acrostic poems is that it's the letter of your first name,and in my poem I used the word Sensible,Helpful,easy-going-normal and Awesome try and guess my name.

Deception Island

 Walt: Read, find and understand facts about a Voyage to Deception Island in Antarctica.Today the Buzzy-bees read a story called voyage to the cold south,and the it's about a kid name Emily is going with her parents to Deception island in Antarctica.

Divison Facts

Walt: Solve division problems using multiplication facts or division in parts strategy

Today I learned two ways to solve a problem:  84 divided by 6=14  I split the 84 into 42 and 42 then I did 42 divided by 6=7 then I double it and it makes 14 my answer

Guess what? This morning Miss Lavakula’s literacy class played a silly eating competition game.Before the game began I felt really hungry and I couldn’t wait to gobble everything up.

If you want to know how to play this silly game then you have to buddy up with someone.Once you have decide between your partner that who is going to eat the yummy food and who is going to help you eat it,then you have to get a box of Weetbix and a can of cream then you can start the game.Oh,and watch out because the food might be yuk.

After the other children's turn it was me and Dekorah’s turn.When Miss Lavakula counted down to zero Dekorah picked up the Weetbix on the white plastic plate,and she stuffed it into my mouth.Once I finished eating that yuk Weetbix,Dekorah forced me to eat the apple that was next to the plate and forced to eat it but I couldn’t because I was swallowing the yuk Weetbix.

I think that my favourite part was when Dekorah was eating like a real baby when I was feeding her.But the worst part of the game was when Dekorah forced me to eat the apple,when I was trying to eat the Weetbix with expired cream.I also wish that next time we don’t play a silly food competition game ever again because the food might be yuk,and it might also be expired.

When the game finished I felt sick because the cream was so yuk I almost puked,and when it’s breakfast time I’m never going to eat Weetbix with cream ever again.

My Practice Activity

Today the Exponents learned about they times and divisions: 4 divided by 23 equals 92 because 4x20=80 then 4x3=12 then I add it together and it makes 92.

                                                      Today the Exponents learned they times and divison: 48 divided by 8 equals 6 because 8x6=48.
