Pirate Treasure

WALT: narrate a story that involves a pirate, on an island and treasure is found

Once upon a time there lived a pirate named Captain Red Beard. He sailed the seven seas with his crew in a ship called the Jolly Roger. He wore an eyepatch, had a hook and he was especially selfish about treasure.

While they were out sailing,a terrible storm came in and made the waves impossible to sail. Suddenly the Jolly Roger hit a huge rock and began to sink,so the Captain and the crew was forced to walk the plank.

Overnight after the storm they washed ashore on an unknow beach “where are we,matey’s”? asked Captain Red Beard. “Sorry Captain,none of us know” replied one of the men.When the captain and his crew were losing hope, Bailey one of the men in the crew could see a red X amongst some plum trees.”Lookey Captain, treasure” said Bailey.”Where?” replied the Captain.”In the middle of those plum trees,sir”,said Bailey pointing to the red X.” “Get ready to dig men.

An hour later they found the treasure,”open it up men”, asked the Captain. “Yes captain”, replied the crew.When they opened the treasure, they were speechless.”Ummmmm,Captain it’s just logs that looks like a raft”,said one of the men. “A raft? We can build a raft so we can go home”,replied the Captain. After  they set sailed towards pirate island.And they lived happily ever after.
