One of the Greatest All Black Sir Colin Meads has had a bronze statue unveiled at Te Kuiti.
Sir Colin Meads was one of New Zealand’s greatest All Blacks and who was named “Player of the Century” in 1999 and played 133 games for the All Blacks between 1957 and 1971.
He also has the Nickname Pinetree and has been diagnosed with pancreatic Cancer. Natalie Stamilla spent two months working on the Statue and said it was an honour.
The $500,000 statue was paid for by Sponsorship, donation and fund raising.
