Converting 24 hour time

This week for maths since it was the first day back from the holidays my math's teacher: Mrs Tele'a gave us an easy presentation on how to convert time into 24 hour time. Take a look and you will see I have now mastered the skill of knowing how to tell the time and how to convert time.

DMIC-Term 3

Today I finished my maths work from Term 3 I haven't yet finished. This presentation we used was for our DMIC session with our teacher Mrs Tele'a on the mat. With the help of my teacher I managed to finish the slides.

Do you know who to tell 24 hour time? Well this week Group B was on the mat doing DMIC with Mrs Tele'a and we learned how to tell time and we also learned how to convert that into 24 hour time. This week for our independent work we had to work on how to change decimals to percentages and fractions. This activity helped me increase and help me understand more about decimals, percentages and fractions.

This week for maths Mrs Tele'a gave our maths group: Newton, an activity all about how to mulitply whole numbers by decimals but part 2. Thank to this activity it has helped me learn to multiply whole numbers.

Hi and welcome to my blog. Have you ever wondered how to add and subtract decimals? Well take a look at the presenation above and see how I learned how to add and subtract decimals. In the presentation we got questions like: 4.26cm + 7.54cm + 3.90cm, and we had to find out the answer in groups of three or four.

Fractions

WALT: Using TALK MOVES to clarify our Maths Thinking
For maths Mrs Sio gave Room 3 maths class Fractions in the presentation we had to find out what a Denominator was and what a numerator was. At the end we had to reflect about what we learnt about fractions and where we can find fractions in our everyday life.

Reflection from Maths

Today in Mrs Sio's maths class we had to split up in groups of four and had to count/circle numbers from 1 to 100.  To complete this task we had to talk within our groups and communicate with each other when one person gets stuck. I think me and my group did great on the second go because we communicated with each other and we already knew where some numbers were from the first go.

For week 5 Mrs Sio gave my group: Newton, an activity all about problem solving. In this presentation we had to work in groups of 4 and work out the answers to the questions.

Week 6: Solve Word Problems

This week for maths my maths group: Newton, got to learn to solve word problems. Some strategies we had to use to get the answers for the questions were addition and subtraction. Above is my completed work for week 6.

How much can you remember from 2017?

WALT: Recall our learning from 2017.
For week 1 to start of maths for 2018 our teachers made a presentation about how much we remembered from 2017. In the presentation we had to look at place value, work out word problems and put decimals from smallest to largest.

For week 7 Mrs Tele'a gave the Tapaono an activity all about Interpreting graphs and creating graphs. This activity has helped the Tapaono strengthen their thinking about Graphs.

This Week for Week 6 Mrs Tele'a gave the Tapaono group Decimals for our maths activity. This activity was made to help us improve more on decimals before we do our Gloss test with Mrs Tele'a.

This week for Maths Mrs Tele'a prepared a practice presentation about questions about the Gloss Test we will be having next week. This presentation had word problems, multiplication, fractions and many more.  This Test Preparation has helped me learn and see what kind of questions I will be answering in the Gloss test.
