Move ya Body Reflection this week

What have you accomplished this week? This week our group got bigger our new members are Jayde, Mereana, Leonardy and Junior. And together we managed to accomplish teaching a boys dance and combine it together to make one big dance.

What did you find challenging? I found it hard when we were trying to teach the boys dance because we didn’t know any dance moves for them.

What has helped you to overcome these challenges? Our team got together and managed to make moves to show the boys.

What would you like to work on next week? Next week me and my group are going to sharpen up the dance and learn where each person is standing for our performance to show to the whole Team 5.

Move your body activity

Learning about moving your body is not just by using your body it's also about your mind too. Today for inquiry Room 3 did an activity where we had to pick one person from our team to do a stacking cup competition with our other classmates. The four kids that were nominated to do the competition was Adrienne, Santana, Chastyi and Jayden. They were timed to see who is the fastest and Chastyi won. (Time: Chastyi-9.90s, Santana-14.96s, Jayden-15.76s, Adrienne- 21.32s.

I learned today that when someone is forced to do something they are not comfortable with I should encourage them so they have the confidence to do it. I also learned that when I fail I should keep on Preserving. 

Team 5 EXPO Experience

       EXPO

Team five decided to do an EXPO to show to Pt England School. The reason why is because
we needed to teach the younger students about Force and Motion. Teaching makes you a
better learner.

Our group had more than two ideas, our first idea was to do a catapult, another idea we
had in mind was to do an egg in the water experiment.

For our project we wanted to do the egg in the water experiment. The reason why we
wanted to do this experiment was because it looked fun, and we wanted to test it out,
and that it concludes Force & Motion.

Our group failed because we didn’t have the equipment. But we really wanted to do the
EXPO with the other Yr 7 & 8 so hopefully we can do it next time.

When we have another EXPO our group should have the right equipment, and to be ready
to present what we have learned to the Pt England Students.

Inquiry: Three Laws of Motion

For Inquiry all the girls in Room 2 & 3 had to work in small groups of 6 to research and create a experiment about Force and Motion. The presentation above is what me and my group made to share our understanding of force and motion.

Emotions and Music

For this Term's main focus about music the Teachers of Team 5 gave they students a task where we had to find songs to match each emotions. Hope you enjoy it.

Orchestra

This week for Inquiry we had to create a presentation about an orchestra and had to look on line about  facts about a orchestra in groups of 2 or 3. My Buddy: Mereana made this presentation to share what we learned about an orchestra.

I wonder Why

Last week Mrs Tele'a's home class started on a new task for inquiry. The task was about researching our I wonder question. For example: I wonder why we have other planets and we would have to type down on the presentation above and we had to reasearch the answer for the I wonder question.

Diary Entry (W9)

Today my group the i phones have finished making our project for inquiry which was a: Garden. The good news is that we finished it and it really has improved how the school look likes. But the bad news is that their are some gaps in the garden and some of the soil are uneven.


We finished making our Garden on Thursday and we are planning to make some little signs that will tell people to respect the garden and not to walk or pick the flowers. Here is a photo of what the garden looked like when we finished:

Diary Writting

Today our group the Iphones have started to get the materials and started to make models for our garden that we are going to try and make for inquiry this Term. This Term’s korero is Now that’s Thinking and This term, Team 5 are going to try and make a model or product that can help School life get better.

For this special occasion our Team the Iphone's decided to make a garden outside Room 1 to help the appearance of the school increase, and today we have started to get the equipment and materials that we needed to make this product work. This is the list of the things we needed:

• Shovels
• Gloves
• Change of Clothes
• Flowers

We have decided to start planting next week on Tuesday and maybe Wednesday and really hope that we can try and make the garden
