Reflection from Maths

Today in Mrs Sio's maths class we had to split up in groups of four and had to count/circle numbers from 1 to 100.  To complete this task we had to talk within our groups and communicate with each other when one person gets stuck. I think me and my group did great on the second go because we communicated with each other and we already knew where some numbers were from the first go.

Fiafia night 2018

On the 12th of April 2018 Pt England school had a annual Fiafia Night. This Fiafia night was special because I got to have an oppertunity to be one of the MC's for the evening, along with Samoa, Tevita and Noah. My Fiafia group Senior Samoan performed last and I had a great time performing and enjoyed watching the other groups, and even though it was my last Fiafia night I had a lot of fun with friends and family.

Final Countdown to School Holidays

It's now school holiday's and I am very happy to finally spend quality time with my family. Before my school holiday's officially started, my school: Point England ,had a school Fiafia night. A school Fiafia night is where every kid in our school performs on a big stage out on our school field a dance they have been working on for the past weeks with their culture groups. A fiafia night is a huge tradition in our school which happens every past two years. This Fiafia night was special because I got to have an opportunity to be one of the MC'S for evening along with Tevita, Noah and Samoa. I had heaps of fun performing with my group (Senior Samoan) and even though it was my last Fiafia night I had loads of fun with friends and I will always carry the memories of that special night.

Kit Kat is known as one of the best chocolate around the world. For example in America and Canada they have the same kitkat but America’s Kit Kat has a lighter colour . But then Canada’s kit kat is a lot darker. Kit Kat is also very popular in Japan, in Japan they have multiple flavors like: Miso, Green tea, and Soy sauce.

When was kit kat created ?

Chocolate was created in the 17th century.

Did you know that in Japan you can get a bakeable version of a Kit Kat? And did you also know that Kit Kat was originally just a box of Chocolates,Kit Kat is a chocolate-covered wafer bar confection created by Rowntree's of York. Back in the days they would have kit kat with a cup of tea.

Kit Kat is popular in many countries. In the Ukraine they have more than 1 billion kit kat’s, in new york 3 million kit kat’s are made everyday. Other group (Crunchie)

Our group thinks that the Crunchie group is one of our biggest
competition because they only have 6 ingredients in their chocolate
which are gluten free, and vegan is fabulously good. But our
competition with the crunchie group is not that bad because they
are very friendly to us well we are friendly back to them. But we
think that our chocolate is best because it’s known internationally
and we don’t just sell our chocolate in New Zealand we also sell
them globally across other the planet.

                                               Kids NEED to be allowed to watch movies.

Watching movies help students increase their learning. Many movies motivate kids to read, some of the
movies that are released every year you can bet that it’s based on a book. Lots of kids may see a movie
and like it so much that they might decide to read the book. Kids should be allowed to watch movies in
class but the question is what kind of movies should be exposed to them?

Introduction: School. It’s that noble mix of social and educational encounters that happens every five days
a week for thirteen long years. But sure there are school holidays and those days where your teacher only
goes to school and not you. But most importantly your whole entire childhood is spent at school, so here
are my top 3 reasons why we need to go to school.

1: School prepares you for life. You might not notice but school is actually helping you prepare for life
when you get older. Even though you might not know what the exact calculations of pi is, or the three
different types of rocks or even the eight parts of a speech, but school is helping you to show up on time,
work hard and apply what you’ve learned. These are definitely the skills to help you in college and the
workforce, so you're thirteen years of school is actually helping you master the skills like a true boss when
you grow up.

2: Friends. School surely wouldn’t be the same without friends. Not only they just walk around with you
down the hallways with you between classes and keep you up-to-date with school crushes, but they help
you cope with life. Good friends are always there for each other, support one another and most importantly
love each other. And for me this is one of the many reasons why I go to school.

3: It’s so much fun. I have to admit school is quite fun. Learning new things is fun, succeeding in my
classes is fun and even eating my lunch with my friends is fun. We all know that some schools have
building and equipment that might not seem awesome to us, but we’re learning from our teachers,
friends and the entire school staff, and when it’s all said and done, you’ll graduate from college or high
school with a lot of great memories of all the fun times you had in school.
